Firearm Training Opportunities

Group Instruction

If you are interested in learning about firearm safety and how to shoot, Maxon's provides training to fit your individual needs. 

We offer a 5 hour NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course one Sunday evening a month.  The class is from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Maxons.  It is best to arrive 15 minutes before the class starts to fill out your paperwork. 

This course is in high demand, so plan ahead.  The price of the class is $100, and you must call the store in advance to schedule a time and to pay for the class. Our phone number is (847)298-4867.

In the 5 hour class, we cover:

·         safety fundamentals

·         revolver and semi-automatic parts and operation

·         ammunition

·         transporting your firearm legally

·         shooting safely and accurately

·         cleaning and storing your firearm
