This class is specifically designed to help students improve their draw from the appendix location.

 Appendix carry has become very popular and when done correctly is extremely safe and can be as fast or faster than strong side hip carry. This class will utilize your own equipment so be sure to review the list below. Maxon Holster Skills Level 3 is the culmination of our holster skills series and students will shoot a final class qualification and receive a completion certificate.

Your range fee, hearing/eye protection, targets, and classroom materials are all included in the cost!

Requirements

  1. You must have a valid IL concealed carry permit
  2. You must have taken Holster Skills Level 2 within that last 6 months
  3. All students must wear pants or shorts with belt loops and a belt
  4. Quality firearm and holster (either inside or outside the waistband) with 2 extra magazines
  5. All students must bring their own 150 rounds of  ammunition, or purchase from Maxon before class
  6. You must bring your own concealment garment

THIS IS A LIVE FIRE CLASS

Each class is limited to 8 students so everyone gets the instruction, and guidance, needed to feel confident and comfortable on the range.

The topics covered will be:

  • Review of mechanics of a proper draw and re-holster
  • Live fire shooting with an appendix draw
  • Review of IL Concealed Carry Act    
  • Timed strings of fire from the draw
  • Clearing malfunctions
  • Certificate of completion and Maxon Holster Skills shooting qualification at the end of class.

We use only the finest training materials including SIRT training pistols, a wide selection of rental firearms, and large screen TV's in a comfortable classroom.

All training classes are non-refundable, but may be re-scheduled once with at least 72 hours notice.

Failure to show, or less than 3 days notice given of inability to attend, will result in a 25% rescheduling fee.
