Going into a gun store or firing range without much gun experience can be intimidating. The staff at Maxon's was uniformly professional and... welcoming, making me feel comfortable. I had a private lesson with Daniel Goode who was particularly friendly and thoughtful. He tailored the lesson around some vision issues I have and his advice greatly improved my accuracy and overall confidence handling firearms.
Took a class with Jon and it was an amazing experience. I had been here shooting a few times previously and had purchased a few items from their shop previously with... all glowing experiences. Jon is an amazing teacher that explains everything thoroughly and clearly. The classes are extremely easy to register for and timely. The staff at the range and shop are very knowledgable and make everyone feel welcome. The facility is clean and it's extremely easy to breath when at this range. All in all, this is the best range with the best staff. Definitely come to this facility!
What a fantastic place and experience, I wanted to bring my lady shoot a couple of rounds with me and I choose the Maxon Shooter’s Range after something like 10 different calls made to other gun ranges, definitely... nailed it, we had the pleasure to shoot with the instructor David, and let me tell ya, the best instructor I’ve ever been with, he definitely knew what he was teaching us and was super friendly and made sure that we understood everything, if you’re looking for a gun range here in Chicago, you don’t even need to overthink it, I’m gonna definitely come back as soon as I can, thanks for the experience!
Had a shooting lesson with Meng Fu, honestly such an amazing experience start to finish, he helped show me the ... correct techniques to use etc, friendly and patient above all else, a great time and if I return to Chicago, I’ll be coming back again! Excellent place to start.

Fantastic locations, incredible people, great offers. Went there with my father and father-in-law. Waiver forms are available online to help speed up the process of getting into a range.... The staff are great and easy to talk to regarding anything. Signs and interior are simple and modernized. Classes also offered. Will definitely come back and a big thank you to Daniel Goodie for helping us during our time there.

My husband and I came here for the first time as a birthday gift for him and took the private... lesson with Bob Dvorak. He is an awesome instructor, super patient, and as someone walking into a range for the first time, he made us feel very comfortable and safe. Definitely coming back again!.
Top of the line range. Absolutely incredible experience here with instructor Daniel Goode. He looked after myself and my... family very well. None of us had any firearms experience and he coached us individually and made sure we all had a great time, even going the extra mile for us. A highlight of my trip to Chicago for sure.
I attended this facility for two basic-pistol courses by Kevin Burke, and for my concealed carry 16 hour course by Jonathan "Jon" The starter courses provided... solid fundamentals most beneficial to those with little to no prior firearm experience. Additionally, the shooting portions of both allowed the class to try out many popular modern self-defense handgun offerings. My current carry gun model was chosen from that list and I am quite satisfied that it is right for me..
