FFL-ILLINOIS SPECIAL EVENT | MONDAY SEPTEMBER 22ND

FFL-ILLINOIS SPECIAL EVENT | MONDAY SEPTEMBER 22ND

Oral Arguments in “Assault” Weapon Ban lawsuit Monday. This is the State’s appeal after our win in the District Court. The three-judge panel has a new member, Judge Amy St. Eve, a Trump appointee, replacing Diane Wood, who wrote the opinion against us over the injunction we won.

St. Eves ruled in favor of upholding the ban on concealed carry on public transportation. She also ruled against the gun rights side in Viramontes v. Cook County, the County assault weapon ban. Her opinion there, however, was critical of the paper-thin record and not of the merits of
the gun rights side’s case. Our decision has a massive record.

Observing St. Eve’s demeanor and nature of her questioning on Monday may be a tell on how this will go.

Please join us to get all the post-hearing details from FFL-IL’s lead attorney Chuck Michel. This is a fund-raiser to support the ongoing litigation against this odious law. Tickets are $50 to benefit FFL-IL.

Please join us for an informative evening and to help support the cause.
